Phase 3: Development

The development phase is the most important part of the process, where we finalise the project requirements. This phase will usually include pilot line and main line trials, as well as trials held at your own facility.

Working in partnership with you is important for the successful completion of this process; we welcome customer involvement at all stages of the development process.

Information on all lines:

Pilot line:

Our machine comprises of a knife over roll or knife over plate coating head, with a 5m, 2 zone thermal drying oven. The pilot line is able to process a wide range of adhesives (acrylic psa and silicone gel) onto a number of different substrates. Anything that is made on the pilot line is scalable to our main coating lines. A pilot line booking includes the full support of our Business Development Team, on hand lab testing facilities, full technical report, full customer input (customers welcome to bring any additional testing equipment).

• Coatweight = 10gsm – 250g/m2
• Process = ALL
• Max width = 100mm – 320mm

Line 1 :

• Knife over roll coater / 3 zone oven
• Corona treatment
• Coatweight = 10gsm – 100gsm
• Process = coating solvent based acrylics
• Max width = 500mm – 1640mm

Line 2 :

• Knife over roll coater / 3 zone oven
• Corona treatment
• Coatweight = 10gsm – 100gsm
• Process = coating solvent based acrylic
• Max width = 500mm – 1620mm

Line 3 :

• Knife over roll coater / 3 zone oven
• Corona treatment
• Coatweight = 50gsm- 250g/m
• Process = Silicone gel
• Max width = 500mm – 1600mm
• As your product develops, we will qualify performance test parameters and technical specification
• All processes will be developed during this phase, including perforation, conversion, delamination & relamination

Perforator:

• films, acrylic coated films, silicone gel coated products
• Perforation diameter ranging from 1.5-3mm+
• Max width = 500mm – 1600mm

Slitting and Converting Capabilities:

Reel to reel slit rewinder :

• Able to rewind or slit rewind from master rolls to widths between 15mm – 1600mm

Delamination/relamination & reel to reel slitter:

• Process = replace release liners, add in other carriers
• Able to slit post-lamination
• Max width = 15mm – 1600mm
